Privacy and Cookie Policy

StairFit takes a minimal approach to personal data: we collect what we need to price, survey and fit your storage, and nothing else. This page explains what we collect, why, where it goes, how long we keep it, the cookies and storage this site uses, and the rights you have wherever you live. Last updated 1 September 2026.

Who we are

StairFit® ("StairFit", "we") makes and installs under stairs storage from Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. We are the data controller for the personal information described on this page. You can reach us any time at info@stairfit.co.uk or through the contact page.

What we collect, and why

When you request an estimate through the online designer we ask for your name, email address, telephone number, address and postcode, together with the storage design you built, your staircase measurement and any notes or photos of your space you choose to add. We use this solely to price your design, email you your estimate, respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, arrange your free survey and installation. The postcode confirms you are within our working area.

The contact form collects your name, email address and message so we can reply. If you accept an estimate, we record that choice against your estimate reference and email you the survey booking link.

Our lawful bases under UK and EU data protection law are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract (pricing and surveying your project), performance of that contract if you go ahead, and our legitimate interest in keeping ordinary business records and protecting the site from abuse.

Where your information goes

Your information is processed by a small number of service providers acting on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and the designer, stores estimate enquiries in our private database, and protects the forms from automated abuse.
  • Resend delivers our email, including your estimate and the survey booking link.
  • Google may hold a copy of enquiry details in a private business spreadsheet accessible only to StairFit.
  • TidyCal handles survey bookings when you choose a time through our booking link, under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Some providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area; where they do, transfers rest on recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting project, and for our ordinary business and accounting records afterwards. You can ask us to delete your enquiry details at any time using the contact details above.

Cookies and storage

This website sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies, and uses no marketing trackers. The storage it does use is strictly necessary:

  • Security: Cloudflare may set cookies such as __cf_bm and, where the estimate form runs its Turnstile bot check, cf_clearance. These protect the site and the forms from automated abuse.
  • Your design: the online designer saves your progress in your own browser (localStorage) so a refresh does not lose your design. It stays on your device and is not a tracking cookie.
  • Your cookie choice: when you make a choice in our cookie banner it is remembered in your browser so we do not ask again.

The banner also offers analytics and marketing categories. They are off by default and not currently used; your choice is recorded so that if we ever introduce analytics it will respect it. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal: browsers sending it default the optional categories to off. You can change your choices at any time via .

Your rights (UK and EU)

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Contact us at info@stairfit.co.uk and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle personal information changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Significant changes affecting an open enquiry will be communicated directly.
