Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to explore, design and price their under stairs storage on this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement covers stairfit.co.uk and the embedded online designer. Last reviewed 1 September 2026.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site.

What we have done

• Semantic headings, landmarks and labels throughout, so screen readers can navigate the site.
• Every control is usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Text and interface colours are chosen for contrast against their backgrounds.
• Images carry meaningful alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Animations respect the reduced motion preference in your operating system.
• The layout adapts to small screens and to text resized up to 200 percent.
• Touch targets in menus and forms are sized for fingers, not just cursors.
• Form fields in the designer explain what is needed and describe errors in plain language.

Known limitations

• The online designer is an embedded application with a live drawing of your storage. The drawing is visual by nature; the choices that build it are all available as labelled controls, and the estimate is also delivered in writing by email.
• Estimate documents are sent as PDF files. If a PDF is difficult for you, contact us and we will provide the information in another format.
• Survey bookings run on a third party service (TidyCal) whose accessibility we do not control; you can always book by replying to your estimate email instead.
