FAQ

1. How long does installation take?

Most installations are completed in just one day. However, for more complex or larger projects, installation may take up to two days. We'll let you know in advance if additional time is needed

2. Can you fit bespoke designs such as an open unit or integrated desk?

Yes, we specialize in custom storage designed to fit your unique space and style. Make an enquiry if you a requirement that isn't listed on the estimator tool.

3. What happens after I receive my price?

The next step is to survey the space. The estimate email will contain further information and a link to book in survey date to further discuss the project. The survey involves taking final measurements and assessing the installation area. The surveyor will bring door & componentry samples to discuss the various style options and confirm interior arrangements.

4. After the survey, what next?

The installation date will need to be confirmed based on availability and lead times. From Order to Install we can normally do a turn around in less than 4 weeks.

5. How much is delivery?

Delivery charges are included in the Installation fee, which will be included in the finalised quote. Delivery costs vary depending on location which is why we can only provide an estimate at this stage.

6. What should I expect on the day of the install?

Our professional installation team will arrive at the scheduled time, bringing the pre-assembled components of your fitted understairs furniture. Our aim is to provide a mess free install, with minimal cutting done onsite.

7. Do I need to be home during the installation?

While it's not strictly necessary for you to be home the entire time, we do recommend someone is available at the start to let our team in and go over any final details. If you can't be there, we can make arrangements in advance to access the space securely.

8. What are the requirements for my installation to begin?

We do require walkways clear and fitting area empty. We will need to unload the furniture so please have a clear space on the driveway. If you're not going to be in, we will require access to the property.

9. Do I need to prepare anything before installation?

Yes, please ensure the area under and around your stairs is clear to provide easy access for our installers. Additionally, make sure there is clear access to the property and space available on the driveway for unloading and working from.

10. Are the doors available in high gloss?

Gloss finishes are available but do note that some of the Shaker and Handleless designs in the range do not offer high gloss as an option. This is due to the door design having fine features that can increase the risk of delamination, to provide a highly reliable product these door designs are not offered with a gloss finish.

11. Are your fitters qualified?

Yes, all of our fitters are NVQ qualified, trained and experienced in Carpentry & Joinery, DBS certified & Fully Insured.

12. Do I have to pay upfront?

The initial estimate is free, and no payment is required at that stage. Payment is only required at key points in the project: A deposit is required to book the surveyor to finalise measurements and design & create drawings. Once plans have been finalised, Installation Dates can be secured with an Installation Deposit The final payment is made once the installation is complete. The survey deposit is deducted from final payment.

13. Which areas do you cover?

We mainly operate within 100 mile radius of our home location in Hinckley (Leicestershire), however we will consider all enquiries.
